Gate Valves
A gate valve is a type of valve used to control the flow of liquids in pipes. It works by lifting or lowering a metal gate to either allow or stop the flow. When the gate is fully open, fluid flows freely; when it’s closed, the flow is blocked.
Gate valves are typically made from materials like stainless steel or cast iron and are best for applications that require a straight flow, such as water, oil, or gas lines. They provide a tight seal when closed but are not suitable for regulating flow frequently because this can cause wear.
